So here are the initial spreads I have created based on the stories I decided to roll with. Not sure if I am completely convinced by the illustrations yet as I have just gone straight into illustrator out of habit, but I think I have managed to have a good first go at it. I did however print out some of them and discovered a rookie mistake: the type is far too big at 12pt. I have used a web based font that is nearest to the typeface I can be without using Times. Although I could not afford the actual Times modern typeface, I managed to find a font called Nimbus Decker Extra Bold which functions flawlessly as the heading font.
